Today is my birthday! As tradition, I make a resolution to myself. Last year I decided to take a social media fast for a year.

The year of no social media was not easy at first. It got easy fairly quickly. I spent significantly less time scrolling. I allowed myself to go directly to my family members’ IG accounts. To be honest, I don’t want to go back to how I used social media before my break. I’m happier without it.

So, what’s this year’s challenge?

For this year I am reading books in our home library. An entire year of not buying new books. With close to 2000 books in our collection, I will have plenty to read.

My plan is to read all I can in a year from our collection with a sprinkle of library books too.
