Children are only little for a Short time. They will grow up and leave you before you have a chance to adjust your brain and heart to the idea that they are now grown.
So let them eat cake for breakfast, let them play in the rain, and let them be children for as long as they will.
Innocence dies fast enough without a parent forcing children to act older than they are too soon. Give them space and love to be children. Also don’t let them grow themselves up too fast either.
Wish I had learned this lesson earlier in life.
