Second Rule of Social Media

If you won’t stand up in church or in front of Grandma and say it out loud, don’t post it on social media.

Look, just because you can say it or post it does not mean you should. Consider your audience and your reputation. One wrong post can undo years of trust building.

Now the flip side of that is, if the word is the strongest you can think of and the situation needs a strong word, use it. However, do some research and find a better word for the next time. Sometimes I have let emotion get the better of me. If I post a swear word on social media it is a rare occurrence. Do not disrespect yourself in a moment of emotion.

No humor, nor anger and no vulgarity is worth your self respect.
