What happens if it all stops working? There are damning ramifications for depending on digital assets rather than real world skills.

What happens to the human who can’t grocery shop or cook because they are dependent on prepackaged food delivery?

What happens to the person who can’t drive because they depend on ride services apps? They can’t even walk to the store because they don’t know how to get there. They are the ones while riding in that Uber or Lyft they don’t look up from their phones to see where they are going.

These digital dependent can’t count money because they depend on calculators and banking apps.

“Hey Siri (Alexia) what’s 15% of…”

They can’t write in cursive, speak in full sentences, do basic math like long division, or tell time on clocks with hands.

Then there is the screen withdrawal that would happen when they can’t watch reels, play games, or post on social media.

I know that some humans are capable of figuring life out. We, Gen X are probably the best at thinking fast on our feet. Still I worry…
