I love my country. I am a true blue American sweetheart. This is my home, my heart belongs here. This is the weekend in the USA when we will hear the word freedom over and over. It is true that we are in a country that offers more freedom than most. I would not want to live where I could not choose what to read, write or wear. Also I can choose where, when and if I go to church.
Are we really completely free?
No we are not. We are not free of being a decent human. We are not free to turn our backs on unjust treatment of others. We are not free to turn our hearts and minds away from truth.
I am not feeling free today. I feel trapped by an unseen force that is out of my control and waiting to devour us all.
