Two Hands

I never realized as a right handed person, how much I do with my left hand. Adjusting to using one hand is difficult. Then I thought about people, like injured veterans who lost limbs or were damaged in some other way and my small carpal tunnel injury pales in significance.

We use our hands for daily tasks. We use them to feed, comfort, create, work, and to survive. Also, we use them to help or hurt others.

We Americans have the freedom to use our hands as we choose because some lost theirs defending us. As we enjoy this holiday weekend, let’s remember that our hands are for helping.
