When was the last time you got a real letter in the mail? Not a bill or something you ordered that you knew was coming, but a real surprise letter?
Take some of this time to write a letter to someone you can’t see in person right now. That person can be in the same town as you. Don’t worry about proper letter writing form. Don’t worry about pretty stationary.
You will need a piece of paper, an envelope, a postage stamp, ink pen or pencil and your friend’s address. The real one, where they live and sleep. Not their email address.
Letter writing will die completely if we do not pass on to our children the joy of getting something in the mail handwritten directly addressed to them.
Give letter writing a try.
If you write me a letter, I will send you one back! Here is my address.
