Are you really “fine”?

Stop lying to yourself and others. We all do it. See if this sounds familiar

Person: Hi. How are you?

You: Fine. Thanks.

You answer “fine” automatically. It is like we are taught that is the only correct response. What if you are not “fine”? What if you are tired, sick, hungry, sad, happy,? What if you are anything but “fine”?

What Is the worse that would happen if you answered with how you really are? You might find out something about yourself or the person asking.

You might discover how you feel. You might discover that the person may not really care how you feel.

I think I will try this out as a social experiment. I will let you know what happens.
