Lori O’Gara has been writing on Medium.com for about a year. Medium is an online group of publications and magazines that you can read for a small subscription fee of $5 bucks a month. For about what you pay for a cup of coffee at that big famous coffee place, you can read about any subject that interests you. Yes, anything. Art, science, politics, video games, cooking, you name it, you can find a publication or a writer who specializes on that topic.

The great thing about medium is that you, the reader, can applaud the articles you enjoy reading. The applause, or claps, convert into money for the writer. The reader rewards writers directly. Claps encourage writers to keep writing. More writing equals more quality articles for publications that readers want. Happy readers and happy writers.

For Lori, she has no passions greater than her love of family, writing and God. She writes about all three. So far she has 130 articles on Medium. Even two published in an investment publication called Data Driven Investor. If you ask her what her favorite topic to write about is she will tell you she has no favorite, rather she has a mission that runs like a thread through all her work, “My goal is to show people that there is nothing more important than love and human decency. Love in investment strategy? Yes. Love in pursuing success? Yes. I was called by God to write, so in everything I write there is some peek into love and respect that is expected of decent humans.”

Along this line of thought, Lori has created her first online publication hosted on Medium. Her magazine is called, No B.S. Christianity. “I have taken some of my favorite articles that fit the theme of real life, no judgement, authentic Christianity and moved them to this platform.” Lori explained. “I do not ever push my religion onto people, rather I live it out through my words. I do not judge others by their lifestyle or choices. Frankly, I respect everyone and I encourage others to do to the same.”
